The Global Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Symposium & Exhibition will be held Aug. 2-3, 2016, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, Bethesda, Maryland. The theme for the symposium will be “Full Spectrum Protection and Response.” This year’s symposium focuses on training and technology requirements for the Joint Service EOD force, with a focus on interagency interoperability. Concurrently, a Technology Outreach will be conducted by the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency (JIDA)—the agency’s only such event of the year. Hear JIDA’s hard challenges and fiscal priorities, and schedule your organization for one-on-one meetings with their representatives. Participants will also be able to meet EOD Wounded Warriors to hear their personal stories of recovery and resilience first-hand in a unique panel setting. This year, the 75th anniversary of the EOD community (1941-2016), the symposium will host EOD veterans of past conflicts to include Vietnam, Korea, and the Gulf War as conference participants honor their service.
